REGION ONE EXPERIENCE

DAY FOUR, JULY 26, 2008

BY TONYA RATLIFF-GARRISON, FIELD EDITOR

The morning at Region One Experience started off with amateur and youth halter with showmanship following. Trail finished up the day. There were plenty of clinics again with Jeff Spencer helping riders solve horse problems, Shane Holt talking about colic prevention and Brenda and Kevin Mee helping new horse owners. Highlight of the day was AQHA Pro Horseman Curt Pate's clinic on working through common problems with your horse. The stands were filled with about 60 spectators and 15 people brought their horses for some hands-on lessons from Curt. There was also an AQHA Test Ride with many people getting their first chance to ride a horse. Got a story idea on an exhibitor at Region One? E-mail tonyag@aqha.org.
